Youth Dan Feeney Jersey
19/03/2019 09:58
hongwei28
Although most former players will have any benefits arising from head injuries while playing professional football processed and resolved by broader concussion settlement Youth Dan Feeney Jersey , players had the right to opt out and pursue their own claims against the league. That’s what the family of Hall of Fame linebacker Junior Seau did.On Friday, the NFL settled the Seau suit.Via Teri Figueroa of the San Diego Union-Tribune, the two sides reached a confidential agreement to resolve the litigation arising from Seau’s May 2012 suicide. Seau’s brain showed evidence of Chronic Traumatic Encephelopathy, and his family blamed Seau’s suicide on years of concussions suffered while playing pro football.A first-round pick in 1990, Seau played through 2009. That’s the year the NFL reluctantly admitted (after years of stonewalling) that concussions can cause long-term health issues. As a linebacker, Seau was routinely delivering and absorbing hits with and to his helmet.Attorney Steve Strauss explained that the amount of the settlement could not be discussed http://www.authenticlosangeleschargers.com/cheap-brandon-mebane-jersey , but that Seau’s clients (his four children and his estate) are “pleased” by the outcome.According to Figueroa, Seau’s estate would have received $4 million under the formula established by the concussion settlement. Presumably, Seau’s estate got more than that.Confidentiality provisions are very common in civil settlements negotiated between private parties in litigation. The side paying the money strongly prefers to avoid letting the world know the amount of the payment, in order to avoid both negative P.R. consequences and an open invitation for others to pursue a similar recovery from a company that is perceived as being willing to buy its way out of lawsuits. That necessarily gives the claim even more value, and potentially boosted the Seau estate’s recovery. Also potentially boosting the Seau estate’s recovery was the league’s clear desire to avoid opening its files to careful inspection regarding what the league knew and when the league knew it regarding concussions. If that information was ever made available for widespread public inspection and media scrutiny, NFL football could quickly be relegated to third-class status in the landscape of American pro sports. Watching Nick Chubb score on a couple of long touchdown runs and Baker Mayfield burn his defense on long passes made Oakland Raiders defensive coordinator Paul Guenther sick. His defense Color Rush Derwin James Jersey , which was so good at preventing big plays during his tenure in Cincinnati, is getting repeatedly burned by them in his first season in Oakland and is a big reason why the Raiders are struggling so much this year."I told those guys that my expectations are way higher than this," Guenther said Thursday. "If we can have teams going 12-, 14-play drives, get them in the red zone, hold them to three http://www.authenticlosangeleschargers.com/cheap-tyrell-williams-jersey , that's what we have to do. We can't give up 60 yards on the grass where we can't catch a player. It's a matter of angles, a matter of speed to the ball to get the guy on the ground."The Raiders (1-3) haven't been able to do that well enough so far this season, contributing to three straight losses to begin the year and a 42-point performance last week by the Cleveland Browns that they overcame by scoring 45 points and winning in overtime.Chubb scored on runs of 63 and 41 yards for Cleveland. Mayfield threw a 49-yard touchdown pass and then had a 59-yarder that went down to the 1 to set up another score. In all this season, the Raiders have allowed a league-worst five plays of at least 50 yards and are tied for second worst in the NFL by allowing 23 20-yard plays."We just have to eliminate the five or six plays per game that are dearly costing us," coach Jon Gruden said. "That's very uncharacteristic of our style of defense. We have to tackle better when we are in 1-on-1 situations. We have to eliminate the big plays."The Raiders are getting a boost in the secondary this week before they face longtime nemesis Philip Rivers and the Chargers. Rivers has more touchdowns and yards passing than any quarterback who has ever faced the Raiders. But Oakland will get some help at cornerback with the return of Daryl Worley from a four-game suspension for violating the NFL's policies on substance abuse and personal conduct.Worley has been practicing all week and is expected to be activated by Saturday to play against the Chargers. He will join a cornerback rotation that includes Rashaan Melvin, Gareon Conley and Dominque Rodgers-Cromartie."Daryl is a seasoned guy http://www.authenticlosangeleschargers.com/cheap-casey-hayward-jersey ," Guenther said. "He was one of our best corners in the spring. When he got here in training camp, he's a tough guy. He understands the different techniques we're trying to teach. He understands the zone concepts we're trying to teach and the man concepts we teach. It's going to be a good added piece for us and a well-need piece."The Raiders signed Worley in April just days after he was arrested in Philadelphia and cut by the Eagles. Worley pleaded guilty in June to misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence, carrying firearms in public in Philadelphia and resisting arrest. That led to his suspension to start the season.Worley was a third-round pick by the Panthers in 2016 and had 150 tackles, two sacks, three interceptions and 19 passes defensed in 31 games.Worley has been able to take part in meetings the past four weeks but wasn't allowed to practice and could only watch the games on television."We need to have more effort," he said. "That's all around Youth Isaac Rochell Jersey , all 11 guys, whoever it is out there on the field no matter who it may be. We need to fly around like we were in training camp on defense. Having more fun with the game, not so much worrying about the game plan and what the offense may be doing. Just executing our techniques and things."NOTES: RB Marshawn Lynch (shoulder) returned to practice. ... LG Kelechi Osemele was sidelined a second straight day with a knee injury. nflshopoutlet.com

Cheap Ryan Ramczyk Jersey
14/03/2019 08:01
hongwei28
Sorry Cheap Ryan Ramczyk Jersey , Yogi. Maybe it is over before it's over.Just look at most of the NFL division races. The NFC West will be over if Seattle loses at Carolina on Sunday. The AFC West looks done in favor of Kansas City. Both South divisions are runaways for the Saints in the NFC, the Texans 鈥?yes, the formerly 0-3 Texans 鈥?in the AFC.Pittsburgh appears to be more in a race for the top overall AFC seed than any challenge in the North. Chicago has a choke hold on the NFC North. And did anyone think New England would be challenged in the AFC East? Combine the three other rosters in that sector and the resulting team might not challenge Tom Brady and the Patriots. That leaves one division in serious doubt, and with some serious turmoil: the NFC East. You'll never hear a coach or general manager or owner claim anything is in the bag until, well, it's in the bag, tied up and secured in a safe place. So don't ask Sean Payton or Sean McVay or Matt Nagy about playoff byes and home-field advantages."For us, there's so many different things we can get better at," McVay says, "and that's the exciting thing about it is with football, there's this never-ending goal of continuing to improve and focus on the little things. Whether that's situational football, whether that's taking care of it or taking it away defensively. So, there's a lot of things within the framework of every single situation."Then, it's going to be about continuing to improve and playing team football. If we do that, then we think good things are going to happen, but it's going to be a tough stretch. We've got some great games coming up. For us, when we get back, the No. 1 focus will be on the Detroit Lions and then we'll go from there."But it's crystal clear what's going on, even before we reach December.Barring major injuries 鈥?the kind of thing that is destroying the season for Philadelphia and Atlanta and Cincinnati 鈥?here's what is going on:AFCThe most interesting race is for which teams will wind up with a week off in the postseason. Kansas City (9-2) has the inside position, followed by Pittsburgh (7-2-1), New England and Houston, both 7-3. Sure, the Chargers (7-3) could sneak through in the West, and the Colts or Titans in the South. Does anyone really believe that will happen?Home field is a huge edge for the Patriots, of course. They almost never lose at Foxborough in January.Oddly http://www.saintscheapshops.com/cheap-authentic-benjamin-watson-jersey , the Chiefs rarely win in KC in the postseason. They have lost their last six and haven't been victorious at Arrowhead in the playoffs since 1993, when Joe Montana was their quarterback. The Steelers aren't particularly dominant at Heinz Field in the playoffs, either, but Houston is 3-1 at home in January. The Chargers have a nice cushion for a wild card and do have a Thursday nighter at KC remaining. No other team has a winning record in the conference.Pittsburgh has the least enviable remaining schedule, with home games with the Chargers and Patriots, and a visit to New Orleans. New England's only other likely test is against up-and-down Minnesota at Gillette Stadium.Kansas City has that home game with the Chargers and a trip to Seattle as its most challenging contests, while Houston has no one remaining that has a winning record and has won seven in a row.Look for the Chiefs and Patriots to lock up byes, with the Chargers and 鈥?a wild stab 鈥?the Colts grabbing wild cards.NFCChicago's victory on Thanksgiving Day with backup quarterback Chase Daniel said a lot about the Bears (8-3). They are as opportunistic as anyone, and their defense is the best of any contender. They do get the Rams (10-1) on Dec. 9, but at Soldier Field, and still have matchups with the Packers and Vikings 鈥?neither of whom is balanced enough to put together a closing streak. With that defense, Chicago usually should be capable of winning anywhere, except that's not how NFL 2018 is built. Playing at the offensive machines from New Orleans (10-1) or Los Angeles would prove hugely difficult. The Saints own a victory over the Rams, which could be decisive in the race for top seed and, eventually, a spot in the Super Bowl. Still, New Orleans has trips to Dallas and Carolina, home games with the Steelers and Panthers, perhaps the most-testing schedule remaining. The Rams, meanwhile, face only one opponent currently with a winning mark (Chicago) the rest of the way.Dallas (6-5) unquestionably has the inside track in the East, especially owning wins over Washington (6-5), which has lost QB Alex Smith, and struggling Philadelphia (4-7). That might be the only division race in doubt come late December. Don't count on it being undecided.Of prime interest, though Ken Crawley Jersey , will be the chase for the wild card. Plenty of big matchups remain, beginning Sunday with Seattle at Carolina, which also has those two games left against New Orleans.Green Bay has an easier remaining schedule than Minnesota, and Seattle, like Carolina, has a tough road.Look for the Rams and Saints to earn byes, with Carolina getting a wild card in the NFC. The other? Ask us around Christmas. Drew Brees made Atlanta pay for losing track of his inexperienced receivers, and New Orleans' defense halted several promising Falcons drives with forced fumbles they could not afford.Tommylee Lewis and Austin Carr each caught his second career touchdown pass, rookie tight end Dan Arnold and rookie receiver Keith Kirkwood each grabbed their first, and the Saints won their 10th straight game with a 31-17 victory Thursday night that eliminated Atlanta from contention in the NFC South. All four players entered the NFL as undrafted free agents within the past three years."I love that stat," Brees said. "That's one of my favorite ones."They also had combined for zero touchdowns this season before Carr caught the first of his career last Sunday."It says a lot about taking advantage of the opportunity," Brees said. "It's fun to watch them grow and gain confidence. We're building chemistry, which typically takes time, right? But they've been thrust into this role."Meanwhile, the Falcons (4-7) lost three fumbles inside the Saints 20 鈥?tough for any team to overcome against streaking New Orleans (10-1) this season.Atlanta quarterback Matt Ryan was stripped by safety Marcus Williams on a third-and-2 from the Saints 3 and Williams recovered to end Atlanta's opening drive. Julio Jones was stripped by linebacker Alex Anzalone after a catch on the New Orleans 17, and safety Vonn Bell recovered in the final minute of the second quarter to preserve a 17-3 lead going into halftime.New Orleans' defense, which had a season-high six sacks, continued to come up with big plays in the second half. Anzalone broke up a fourth-down pass in the third quarter and linebacker A.J. Klein intercepted a pass tipped by defensive tackle Tyeler Davison in the fourth."I do love the way that we played today," said defensive end Cameron Jordan, who had two sacks. "I do love the four turnovers. I do love the sacks. I do love the pressures. I do love the quarterback hits. For all terms and purposes, we had our Thanksgiving."Klein's interception gave the Saints possession on the Atlanta 22, setting up Kirkwood's diving 4-yard TD catch. With about four minutes left, cornerback Marshon Lattimore stripped Calvin Ridley on the Saints 1 after a 29-yard completion that looked as though it would end in a touchdown. Defensive back Eli Apple recovered that one."When you have one turnover (in the red zone), it feels like a lot," Falcons coach Dan Quinn said. "We had three down there and that was the real story of the game."KEY STATSRyan was under pressure all night from a Saints defense that was bolstered by the return of first-round draft choice Marcus Davenport from a toe injury that sidelined him for three games. Marcus Williams Cheap Josh LeRibeus Jersey , P.J. Williams, Sheldon Rankins and Demario Davis each had a sack.Ryan finished 35 of 47 for 377 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. But little came easy. His first TD pass, to Ridley, came on fourth down from the 2 late in the third quarter.Atlanta rushed for just 26 yards. New Orleans finished with 150, led by Alvin Kamara's 89 and Mark Ingram's 52.Statistically, Brees did not have one of his more impressive games, completing 15 of 22 passes for 171 yards with his second interception of the season. The pick was snagged by Damontae Kazee, his NFL-leading sixth this year.NEW TARGETSBrees' ability to play to the strengths of unheralded receivers allowed the Saints to cash in on scoring opportunities. A week earlier, he found rookie Tre'Quan Smith 10 times for 157 yards and a TD, but Smith was ruled out against Atlanta with a foot injury. Another receiver, Ted Ginn Jr., has been out with a knee injury since Week 5.Lewis, a third-year pro, was in his first game back after nine weeks on injured reserve and had not caught a pass all season before getting wide open for his 28-yard grab that made it 7-0. Carr is a second-year pro who played in only one game without a catch as a rookie. He, too, was wide open after Falcons defenders bit on a fake to Ingram. Kirkwood made his NFL debut three games ago, when Arnold had his first career catch."Obviously, Drew is someone who is very confident in the preparation, confident in players around him. There's a lot that goes into that," Saints coach Sean Payton said. "I'm excited for those guys that got opportunities."DIRE STRAITSThe Falcons' dimming playoff hopes hang on catching up in the wild-card race, and they trail Minnesota (5-4-1) by two games for the last spot."It's rough right now for us. You don't want guys to quit," Jones said. "This is the time you get to see what guys are really like."INJURIESFalcons linebacker Kemal Ishmael was helped off the field in the third quarter after a punt.UP NEXTFalcons host Baltimore Dec. 2.Saints visit Dallas on Thursday night. Custom Tennessee Titans Jerseys

Youth Ja'Whaun Bentley Jersey

For the second straight year Youth Joe Thuney Jersey , it looks like the New England Patriots’ coaching staff will undergo a considerable transformation: de facto defensive coordinator and linebackers coach Brian Flores is almost certain to leave the team to become the next head coach of the Miami Dolphins, and it looks as if he will bring a familiar face with him to South Beach: Patriots wide receivers coach Chad O’Shea.According to a report by the Sun Sentinel’s Omar Kelly, O’Shea is considered the front runner to become Miami’s offensive coordinator under Flores’ new regime. The 49-year old would not be the only coach with a Patriots history to become a part of Flores’ coaching staff with the Dolphins: former New England linebackers coach Patrick Graham is also expected to move to Miami and become the new defensive coordinator. As for O’Shea, he is currently in his tenth season with the Patriots — all of them coaching the team’s wide receivers Youth Ja'Whaun Bentley Jersey , first under Bill O’Brien and later under current offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels. And with McDaniels staying with the team at least for one more year, O’Shea cannot be blamed to take a step up the career ladder even if it comes in an initially less stable environment than what he currently has.If he indeed leaves the Patriots, that opens up another spot on the Patriots’ offensive staff. There are, however Youth Tom Brady Jersey , multiple candidates to possibly fill the vacancy: assistant quarterbacks coach Jerry Schupliski appears to be the front runner at this point in time, with offensive coaching assistants DeMarcus Covington and Atif Austin also potential replacements.Patriots activate wide receiver Julian Edelman, release running back Kenjon Barner When the clock struck midnight from Sunday to Monday, the Julian Edelman’s four-game suspension officially came to an end. However http://www.thepatriotsfootballauthentic.com/shaq-mason-jersey-authentic , the wide receiver did not immediately join the New England Patriots’ roster and instead spent the last four days on a roster exemption list. This allowed the Patriots to carry 53 men on their active roster despite Edelman’s suspension being over.In order to activate the veteran, however, New England now needs to make a move to free up a roster spot – and according to ESPN Boston’s Mike Reiss, running back Kenjon Barner will be the vicitm:The 28-year old originally joined the Patriots after week one to serve as a depth option at running back and punt returner. However Womens Cordarrelle Patterson Jersey , he was a healthy scratch for his first potential game and subsequently let go again. Barner rejoined the team last week and saw some playing time against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday but failed to establish himself as a fixture on the roster despite New England lacking depth at the running back position. The move, as Reiss notes, will leave the Patriots with just two running backs on their active roster: first-round draft pick Sony Michel and veteran James White. The duo performed well but more depth behind them is still needed. New England also has undrafted rookie Ralph Webb on its practice squad, and Rex Burkhead as a candidate to return off the injured reserve list. Wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson could also receive snaps at running back.[UPDATE http://www.thepatriotsfootballauthentic.com/kyle-van-noy-jersey-authentic , 10/04, 5:30 p.m. ET] As the Patriots announced, they have indeed activated Julian Edelman and released Kenjon Barner to make room for him.

For those fans who dislike Thursday night football Womens Mike Pouncey Jersey , rejoice that this week is the final game of the season on such short rest. Also rejoice that it's one of the best matchups of the year, with hefty implications in the standings, as Kansas City hosts the Los Angeles Chargers.Even with a loss, the Chiefs keep the top spot in the AFC West with a better division record as the teams will have split their series. A win for Kansas City (11-2) could secure the top seed in the conference, though, depending on what happens to the Patriots and Texans. The Chargers (10-3), who lost to KC 38-28 in the season opener, will own a postseason berth with a victory. They also can get in with a loss and help elsewhere, but those scenarios give Pro Picks a migraine.Los Angeles, ranked fourth in the AP Pro32, is a 3陆-point underdog at top-ranked Kansas City. We think Authentic Tyrell Williams Jersey , right now, the Chargers are the better-balanced team, though winning on the road on Thursday nights is very difficult, especially if the top two running backs are out. Having worked in unison for 11 seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, John Harbaugh and Joe Flacco are under pressure to extend their extraordinary bond to an even dozen years. The emergence of first-round draft pick Lamar Jackson and a three-game losing streak have raised questions about the future of a coach and quarterback who reached the postseason in each of their first five seasons together and capped the run with a Super Bowl victory.Recently, however, the Ravens have stumbled. They've missed the postseason for three consecutive years and entered their bye week with a 4-5 record.General manager Ozzie Newsome will step down after this season, and Baltimore's performance over the last seven games could go a long way toward determining if the transition will extend to a change at head coach and/or quarterback.Following a lackluster 2017 season that could be attributed in part to a slow-healing back injury, Flacco has been solid this year. He's thrown for 2,465 yards and has 12 touchdown passes with only six interceptions.Though Harbaugh has allowed the fleet-footed and elusive Jackson to receive several snaps each game, he's not about to make a quarterback change at this pivotal point in the season."Joe has played well, so I don't want to get into all of that Youth Dont'a Hightower Jersey ," Harbaugh said. "We're rolling right now with what we have."Harbaugh took the job as Ravens coach in 2008 with Flacco as a rookie quarterback. Flacco started the opener, the first of his 163 regular-season games under Harbaugh 鈥?second-most in NFL history by a quarterback who's spent his entire career with the same head coach. Only Tom Brady and Bill Belichick have more (260).But the Ravens didn't trade up to get Jackson just to keep the 2016 Heisman Trophy winner on the sideline. The former Louisville star ranks second on the team with 139 yards rushing and has completed seven of 12 passes, most of them during mop-up duty. The challenge for Harbaugh is to determine when, and how often, to use the rookie. It's a tricky problem, in part because the Ravens often keep Flacco in the game when Jackson enters so the defense won't know who will take the snap when the huddle breaks. If Jackson is the quarterback, then Flacco lines up as a receiver who almost certainly won't be a target."I sure hope not," Flacco said with a grin.Jackson ran for 4,132 yards and 50 touchdowns at Louisville. He's far more of a threat with his legs than the 33-year-old Flacco, leaving the opposition to guess whether Jackson will keep the ball http://www.thepatriotsfootballauthentic.com/patrick-chung-jersey-authentic , hand it off or pass."The stats say we're over twice as effective running the ball with Lamar on the field. That's even with the 10-man football that people say we're playing," Harbaugh said. "The numbers don't lie there. That's probably why I say I'd like to get him on the field more, because you always want to do things that are effective more."Though unyieldingly loyal to Flacco, Harbaugh didn't dismiss the possibility of using Jackson for an entire series."I would say that's an option, yes," Harbaugh said. The strange thing about all this is that the Ravens have not made use of another quarterback who has started in 41 NFL games, including the playoffs. Retained as part of the 53-man roster in case Flacco or Jackson gets hurt, Robert Griffin III has been inactive every game this season.Whether Griffin gets to play remains to be seen. For now, the Ravens are focused on finding the right mix between Flacco and Jackson.Jackson enjoys contributing, though he would prefer better results."It's very cool http://www.thepatriotsfootballauthentic.com/marcus-cannon-jersey-authentic , but I feel like I need to do more," he said. "We need to score more points. I've got to help my team move the ball."The Ravens planned to use the bye week to rest and get healthy. Starting tackles James Hurst (back) and Ronnie Stanley (ankle) missed a 23-16 loss to Pittsburgh last Sunday, and it's essential that Baltimore have a full offensive line against Cincinnati at home next week. The defense has to get better, too. After getting 11 sacks in a 21-0 rout of Tennessee on Oct. 14, the Ravens have yielded 83 points during a skid that has put their postseason chances in jeopardy."We're not eliminated yet. We're in a hole, and now we have to dig ourselves out," safety Eric Weddle said. "We just have to get our minds refreshed and refocused, then come back and get after it."

Stefon Diggs raised a few eyebrows with a Celebrity Family Feud answer So Youth Kyle Rudolph Jersey , as we all know, the episode of Celebrity Family Feud featuring NFL veterans taking on NFL rookies aired this past Sunday on ABC, and Minnesota Vikings’ wide receiver Stefon Diggs was a member of the Veteran team. The Veterans topped the Rookies in the main portion of the game, which meant they got to advance to the “Fast Money” round for an opportunity to win $25,000 for charity. TORONTO — The Detroit Tigers will start a former Toronto Blue Jays left-hander Saturday afternoon for the second game in a row in another attempt to end a losing streak that has reached 10 games.

Former Blue Jays left-hander Francisco Liriano could not do the job Friday night — allowing three runs in six innings — as the Blue Jays defeated the Tigers 3-2 in the opener of a four-game series at the Rogers Centre.

This time Tyler Bozak Jersey , the former Blue Jay is Matt Boyd (4-6, 4.15 ERA), who will face Toronto right-hander Sam Gaviglio (2-2, 3.98) in the second game of the series.

The Tigers (36-47), who are 13-26 on the road, have lost 10 games in a row for the first time since Sept. 13-22, 2003, the season in which they lost 119 games.

“We had some opportunities, but it’s the same story,” Tigers manager Ron Gardenhire said. “You pitch really good and you don’t score, or you don’t pitch good enough and it just extends on. The guys are really trying, they’re bothered out there and they’re frustrated. They want to win, the guys are really pushing hard in the dugout, but it’s just not happening right now.”

The Tigers have lost 11 of their past 13 games in Toronto.

The Blue Jays (38-43), who were returning from a 3-4 road trip that easily could have been better, have won nine of their past 10 home games. They are 21-20 at home.

Boyd took the loss Sunday at Cleveland when he allowed six runs, eight hits and two walks while striking out five in three innings.

The start Saturday will be his 16th of the season.

In four career starts against the Blue Jays, Boyd is 0-1 with a 4.24 ERA. He did not factor in the decision June 2 against Toronto at Comerica Park when he gave up four runs, six hits and two walks in seven innings. He struck out three.

Boyd, who was sent to the Tigers July 30, 2015, as part of the trade that sent David Price to the Blue Jays, is 0-3 with an 8.66 ERA in four career starts at the Rogers Centre.

Gaviglio will be making his 10th appearance and eighth start of the season.

In his past three starts, he is 0-1 with a 7.50 ERA and has pitched only 12 innings.

He has faced the Tigers once in his career, allowing two runs in five innings in a no decision.

The Tigers have been outscored 64-26 during their losing streak.

Before the game Friday, the Blue Jays selected the contract of utility player Darnell Sweeney from Triple-A Buffalo. He was batting .232 with six homers and 21 RBIs in 47 games. He has played all infield positions except first base, both corner outfield positions and also pitched a scoreless inning.

Sweeney takes the roster spot of outfielder Steve Pearce William Nylander Jersey , who was traded Thursday night to the Boston Red Sox for shortstop Santiago Espinal, who will play at Class A Dunedin.

Moving Pearce means that Kendrys Morales will again see regular use as the designated hitter and breaks up a logjam in the outfield. The Blue Jays return to four outfielders with Teoscar Hernandez, Randal Grichuk, Kevin Pillar and Curtis Granderson.

Espinal, 23, batted .313 with seven homers and 32 RBIs in 65 games with Class A Salem in the Red Sox organization.

“Middle-of-the-diamond players, you can’t have enough of them,” Blue Jays general manager Ross Atkins said Friday. “The athleticism, that’s where it all begins. If you can play in the middle, you can often play anywhere else, so that’s first and foremost. (Espinal) is an above-average runner and performing well at a decent level, so there’s plenty to like.”

Fresh off their first Super Bowl title, the Philadelphia Eagles arrived home to a hero’s welcome Monday afternoon, hours after overjoyed fans mobbed the streets in a sometimes unruly victory celebration nearly 60 years in the making.

Hundreds of fans greeted the team’s plane at Philadelphia International Airport, cheering wildly and singing ”Fly Eagles Fly” as Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie emerged with the Lombardi Trophy.

After getting off the plane, Lurie, Coach Doug Pederson and stars like tight end Zach Ertz and running back LeGarrette Blount approached the chain-link fence separating the team from the fans, smiling, pumping their arms and shooting video with their phones. Fans stood on cars and news trucks to catch a glimpse.

”It’s been a long journey to redemption,” said John Hall, 49, who works at Philadelphia’s public transit agency. ”We don’t have to hear the negative anymore, that we don’t have a ring. It’s official now.”

Dan Mazzoli, 53, a disabled construction worker and die-hard fan from New Jersey, shared the moment with his 12-year-old son and 11-year-old daughter.

”We’ve been waiting for this all our lives,” he said.

Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles Zach Hyman Jersey , the unassuming backup quarterback who took over for injured star Carson Wentz and played brilliantly throughout the playoffs, wasn’t on the team plane. Foles headed – where else? – to Disney World, riding a float at the Orlando resort and fist-bumping Mickey Mouse amid a shower of green confetti.

”It’s all right to yell,” he told the cheering crowd. ”We’re world champs! We did it! We did it!”

The underdog Eagles won their first NFL championship since 1960 on Sunday night with a surprise 41-33 victory over the New England Patriots, ending a drought that had long tormented the city’s football-crazed fans. Philly was the only team in the Northeast Corridor to have never won a Super Bowl.

The city scheduled a victory parade for Thursday along a 5-mile route that will stretch from the Eagles stadium complex to the steps of the Philadelphia art museum, whose steps Sylvester Stallone ran up during ”Rocky.” It’s a fitting ending point for a team that Stallone had cheered on throughout the playoffs.

Revelers along the parade route will be able to indulge in free Bud Light at two dozen bars, thanks to a promise the beer maker made to Eagles offensive tackle Lane Johnson before the season.

Philly had some cleaning up to do Monday after pockets of Eagles fans turned unruly overnight, with rowdies smashing department store windows, looting a gas station convenience store and toppling a number of the city’s famously greased light poles. The police commissioner said he and other officers were hit with bottles.

The vast majority of revelers celebrated peacefully, and police made only three arrests, said Ajeenah Amir, a spokeswoman for Mayor Jim Kenney.

”Tens of thousands came out and celebrated this amazing victory, and but for a handful of bad actors, the celebration was peaceful and jubilant,” Amir said. She lauded police for ”their assistance in getting the crowds dispersed and people home safely.”

Just as Foles and the Eagles clinched victory in Minneapolis, the scene more than 1,000 miles away in Philly was one of jubilation and pandemonium.

Revelers shot off fireworks, drivers beeped their horns and Philadelphians young and old descended on Broad Street, the main thoroughfare that last hosted a major championship parade in 2008 for the Phillies’ World Series win.

”The city deserved it,” said 66-year-old Lou Potel, who threw a party at his home just off Broad before joining a much bigger party outside. ”It’s a great city, and now we have a Super Bowl to go along with it.”

Fans clambered atop the awning at the swanky Ritz Carlton Hotel near City Hall, jumping off into the crowd in what one Twitter post called ”Ritz Carlton Skydiving.” The awning later collapsed with a large group of people on top of it. It wasn’t clear if anyone was injured.

Nearby, windows were smashed at a Macy’s department store and at an Old Navy clothing store.

And apparently no amount of grease in the world can keep some drunken Eagles fans from climbing poles in celebration. A few managed to shimmy up traffic lights and street sign poles.

Amir said there were reports of some injuries from falls near light poles but precise numbers weren’t available.

Vandals were seen having an apparent food fight inside a gas station’s convenience store, yelling ”Everything is free!” and overturning a car outside a hotel. After 1 a.m., the only people allowed inside the 24-hour Wawa convenience store near City Hall were police officers.

Associated Press writers Kristen De Groot in Philadelphia and Michael Rubinkam in northeastern Pennsylvania contributed to this report.

The Detroit Tigers will look for their third consecutive victory as they open an eight-game road trip Friday night against the White Sox at Guaranteed Rate Field in Chicago.

Detroit (33-37) is coming off back-to-back wins against the Minnesota Twins as it remains within striking distance of the Cleveland Indians for first place in the American League Central division. The Tigers have scored four-plus runs in four of their last seven contests.

The team’s success at the plate has come despite the loss of star slugger Miguel Cabrera Tom Kuhnhackl Jersey , who will miss the rest of the season after rupturing his biceps tendon. The 35-year-old performed well against Chicago with a .297 lifetime average to go along with 34 home runs and 108 RBIs in 175 games.

Minus Cabrera, the Tigers are forced to rely upon less proven players such as JaCoby Jones, who belted a two-run home run on Thursday afternoon that helped his team secure a series victory. Jones is hitting only .222 this season with five home runs and 18 RBIs.

“He’s a really good baseball player,” Tigers manager Ron Gardenhire said to the Detroit Free Press. “He brings a lot to the table. Yeah, he could get sent down sometime if he went 0-for-the-next-150, but I don’t think that’s going to happen.

“I love the kid. … But ultimately, he’s going to have to dig his way out of it, and (Thursday) was a start. He hit a home run Brent Burns Jersey , that’s confidence — and now, hopefully, he’ll build from there.”

Chicago (24-43) also has gained confidence recently despite a difficult start to the season. The White Sox have won or split each of their past four series, including a 2-2 series tie against the Indians this week.

The White Sox will turn to right-hander Reynaldo Lopez (2-4, 3.26 ERA), who will make his 14th start of the season. The 24-year-old has posted back-to-back quality starts and earned a victory in his most recent appearance Sunday as he limited the Boston Red Sox to two runs (one earned) in 6 1/3 innings.

In three career starts against the Tigers, Lopez is 1-1 with a 2.57 ERA. He has not allowed a home run in 21 innings, but control has proved to be an issue as he has walked 10 and struck out nine during those three starts.

Lopez is enthused by the recent success of him and his teammates.

“When you as a team can do the little things and can work as a team with all the parts integrated Chris Tierney Jersey , you will have good results,” Lopez said to the Chicago Tribune. “And that’s what we’ve been doing the last couple of weeks.”

The Tigers are determined to disrupt the recent comfort level of the White Sox.

Detroit right-hander Mike Fiers (5-3, 4.01 ERA) will make his 13th start. He has not lost since May 19 against the Seattle Mariners, and he is coming off an impressive outing in which he limited Cleveland to one run on five hits in seven innings.

Fiers, 32, is 2-0 with a 1.72 ERA in five career starts against the White Sox. He has walked eight and struck out 28 in 31 1/3 innings.

Chicago is 12-21 at home this season. Detroit is 10-20 on the road.

Nick Foles used the bye week to go back to basics.

The Philadelphia Eagles (13-3) are the first No. 1 seed to open the playoffs as an underdog mainly because Foles is the starting quarterback instead of Carson Wentz.

But Foles hasn’t lost confidence despite public perception that he can’t lead the Eagles to the Super Bowl, or even a victory over the Atlanta Falcons (11-6) on Saturday in the divisional round.

”It’s just going out there and playing and staying in the zone and trusting my instincts,” Foles said.

”I’ve played this game a long time. There’s a reason I’ve been able to do what I’ve been able to do. When I play my best and I’m most comfortable Womens Evander Kane Jersey , I just go out there and play.”

Foles has had success against defenses similar to Atlanta’s. The Falcons employ a Cover-3 scheme as their base defense. The three deep zones are covered by two cornerbacks and the free safety. The Seahawks have excelled at it for several years. Of course, they have a world-class secondary.

Falcons coach Dan Quinn was Seattle’s defensive coordinator when they won the Super Bowl four years ago.

Foles has never faced Quinn, but he beat the Jaguars in 2014 with the Eagles and in 2016 with the Chiefs. He beat the Seahawks in 2015 with St. Louis. Gus Bradley, who preceded Quinn as Seattle’s defensive coordinator, was Jacksonville’s coach in both games against Foles.

Foles is 65 of 105 (61.9 percent) for 842 yards with five touchdowns passes and one interceptions in those three games against Cover-3 defenses.

”You know where they are going to be. That’s the thing with this defense,” Eagles coach Doug Pederson said. ”They play with a lot of confidence. It’s an aggressive style. It’s fast flow and they are not going to pull any punches.

”They are not going to try to trick you or do anything to get in your head or anything like that. It’s just line up and try to beat us.”

The Falcons don’t blitz much but still get pressure on quarterbacks. They tied for 13th in the league with 39 sacks. Adrian Clayborn led the way with 9+ sacks, including six in one game against the Cowboys.

Atlanta allowed 17.5 points per game over the final six games and then shut down the league’s highest-scoring offense in a 26-13 win at the Los Angeles Rams in the wild-card game.

”This defense is much improved over the course of the season,” Pederson said. ”You saw it against the Rams. They are fast. They are flying to the football.

”Secondary is aggressive. Guys know how to cover. A lot of single-high. They are going to challenge our receivers and that’s what you’re seeing on tape. It’s a quality defense Authentic Joe Pavelski Jersey , but that’s what we expect this time of year.”

Foles played well immediately after Wentz tore his ACL in Week 14. He was 20 of 48 for 279 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions in his first five quarters versus 23 of 49 for 202 yards with one TD and two picks in the last five quarters.

”I haven’t executed as well as I wanted to the past couple of weeks, but I go out there and play and having this time to self-scout, go through practice, you realize just go out there and play,” Foles said.

”Maybe I wasn’t doing that as much those last couple of games. It’s as simple as that. Sometimes, the hardest things are the simplest things. Basically, get out of your own head and go play the game you know how to play.”

Patric Hornqvist Jersey

Luke Weaver seemed to regain his old form. It just took a while.

He settled in after a shaky first inning to win for the first time in eight starts and Jose Martinez hit a three-run homer to pace the St. Louis Cardinals to an 8-2 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday.

Weaver (4-6) allowed two runs Patric Hornqvist Jersey , both in the first, on five hits in 5 2/3 innings. He struck out a season-high nine and walked two for his first victory since May 11.

”I think it means a lot for him to right the ship,” Matheny said. ”The first inning, you could tell. It was once again, like, `Here we go.’ Got into the second, that was better. Gave up a walk and at that point he turned it around.”

Martinez’s 11th homer capped a five-run fourth when St. Louis erased a 2-1 deficit. Dexter Fowler, who entered hitting .163, doubled twice and scored twice, and Harrison Bader reached four times, scoring twice for the Cardinals, who won the final two games of the series to salvage a split.

Fowler snapped an 0-for13 streak with a double to open the fourth and Bader walked. Both runners advanced on Kelton Wong’s fly out to right. After Weaver struck out, Matt Carpenter lined a two-run single to center to put the Cards up 3-2.

Jhoulys Chacin (6-3) issued his fifth walk to Greg Garcia and Martinez then drove an 0-2 pitch over the wall in center to make it 6-2.

”That pitch ran into my bat 100 percent,” Martinez said. ”He actually caught me off-guard, got my off my timing. I just reacted to the ball. I got the barrel 100 percent. It was good for me that it actually happened like that. It was a good hit for us in that inning.”

The Cardinals extended it to 8-2 in the fifth. Fowler again led off with a double and Bader followed with an RBI single. Wong singled Bader to third and Weaver laid down an RBI sacrifice bunt.

Chacin allowed a season-high eight runs on nine hits in 4 1/3 innings, striking out five and walking five. Chacin dropped to 0-7 with a 6.90 ERA in nine career appearances, including eight starts, against the Cardinals.

”When you walk five guys in four innings, you can’t have much of a good game,” Chacin said. ”Just trying to battle from the first inning. I got runners on base every inning. Just battling with control with my pitches. You pay for it.”

The Cardinals pushed across a run in the first when Carpenter walked, Garcia doubled and Marcell Ozuna lofted a one-out sacrifice fly to the wall in right-center.

Milwaukee answered with two runs in the bottom half. Christian Yelich tied it with his 10th home run, a one-out solo shot into the second deck in left. Ryan Braun followed with a double to right and scored on Hernan Perez’s two-out single. Jonathan Villar doubled Perez to third, but Weaver escaped by retiring Erik Kratz on a hard-hit liner to right.

”Being able to get out of that inning with just two runs, it’s obviously not ideal, but the way we’ve kind of been swinging and getting hot Phil Kessel Jersey , I knew we were going to score some runs,” Weaver said. ”It was just about putting up zeroes from there.”

TRAINER’S ROOM

Cards: OF Tommy Pham was not in the lineup after feeling ill before the game. ”He is just under the weather,” manager Mike Matheny said. ”It has been going through our clubhouse. Different guys are passing it around. Unfortunately when you spend this much time together, is this kind of space, on flights, it is going to run its course.”

Brewers: 3B Travis Shaw left in the third inning after re-aggravating his sore right wrist on the second swing of his at-bat. The extent of the injury was not known, Counsell said. . RHP Matt Albers (10-day DL, right shoulder discomfort), could start a throwing program next week, but his return is still a ways off. ”I think we’re looking post-All Star break for Matt,” Counsell said. . IF Nick Franklin (10-day DL, right quad strain) is in Arizona and still experience soreness. ”He’s not over the injury,” Counsell said. . IF Tyler Saladino (10-day DL, left ankle sprain) continues to progress. ”We’re closing in on looking at setting a date to send him out on rehab.”

UP NEXT

Cards: RHP John Gant (1-2, 4.39) opens the three-game series at home against Cleveland on Monday. Gant, filling in for injured Michael Wacha, was sent down to Triple-A Memphis on May 31 and recalled on Thursday.

Brewers: After an off-day Monday, rookie RHP Freddy Peralta (2-0, 2.30) makes his fourth start of the season to open a two-game series at home against Kansas City. Opponents are batting just .113 against him.

Another attempt at a no-hitter, a reliever alternating between the mound and first base, and postgame pushing and shoving.

The Tampa Bay Rays pulled off an odd one for their fifth straight victory.

Nathan Eovaldi took a no-hitter into the sixth inning before an unusual combination of relievers in the ninth completed a three-hitter as the Rays beat Max Scherzer and the Washington Nationals 1-0 Tuesday.

Eovaldi (2-3) lost his no-hit bid when Bryce Harper hit an opposite-field double off the left-field wall with two outs in the sixth. The right-hander, who struck out nine, walked two and hit a batter over six innings, was making his sixth start since returning from a second Tommy John surgery in August 2016.

However, it was the ninth inning that stole the spotlight.

After Diego Castillo went two innings Sidney Crosby Jersey , lefty Jose Alvarado began the ninth by walking Harper before moving to first base when Chaz Roe relieved him. Roe struck out Anthony Rendon before Alvarado returned to the mound and gave up singles to lefties Juan Soto and Daniel Murphy that loaded the bases.

”We wanted to get our best matchups possible,” Rays manager Kevin Cash said. ”The gamble, I guess, was hoping that nobody hit a ground ball to first.”

Sergio Romo replaced Alvarado and got his sixth save by getting Trea Turner to fly out and Michael A. Taylor to strike out.

”I was a little jealous that it wasn’t me going out and playing a position,” Romo said.

Alvarado declined to talk to reporters after the game.

There was a brief scrum near the mound after Taylor struck out when Romo exchanged words with the Washington outfielder, who had stolen second in the sixth inning of the Nationals’ 11-2 over Tampa Bay on June 6.

”I don’t disrespect anybody on that team other than the person that I felt disrespected me and my team,” Romo said.

Said Taylor: ”I understand the situation. Obviously they think different but I’m not worried about that. The talking and things like that, I’m not big on drama.”

Nationals manager Dave Martinez said Romo’s unhappiness was misdirected.

”If he gets mad, he should get mad at me, but don’t show up one of our players,” Martinez said.

Tampa Bay’s Blake Snell took a no-hitter into the seventh inning of the Rays’ 11-0 rout of the Nationals on Monday night. Washington finished that game with two hits.

Scherzer (10-4) gave up one run, four hits, three walks and struck out four in seven innings for the Nationals, who have lost nine of 12. The three-time Cy Young Award winner has lost three straight decisions for the first time since August 2015.

The Rays took both games of the series with Washington on the heels of a three-game sweep last weekend over the New York Yankees, who have the best record in the majors.

Tampa Bay is 7-5 during a stretch of 16 games against the Yankees, Nationals and Houston Astros.

Tampa Bay went up 1-0 in the first when Kevin Kiermaier singled, advanced to third on Matt Duffy’s base hit during a 10-pitch at-bat and scored on Jake Bauers‘ grounder.

MORE HIGH JINKS

As Harper walked to the plate in the first inning, Frank Sinatra’s ”New York, New York” played over the Tropicana Field sound system for the potential free agent after this season. In the sixth, the musical selection was Sinatra’s ”Chicago.”
